Our Club considers the health and safety of all of our members a top priority. CVU recognizes the importance of adhering to the current health and safety guidelines in place by the state, the Virginia Youth Soccer Association, and the local soccer leagues. CVU COVID-19 PROTOCOLS - FALL 2021
As we are all aware, COVID is still rife within our community and CVU is dedicated to protecting the health & welfare of all our players, their families and our coaching staff.
We refer all parents to the CDC guidelines, as this will be our main source of club protocols. This information will always be accessible here: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov
KEY HIGHLIGHTED POINTS FOR EXPOSURE, QUARANTINING AND RETURN TO PLAY
We ask all players to quarantine if you have been in close contact (within 6 feet of someone for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period) with someone who has COVID-19, unless you have been fully vaccinated. People who are fully vaccinated do NOT need to quarantine after contact with someone who had COVID-19 unless they have symptoms. However, fully vaccinated people should get tested 3-5 days after their exposure, even if they don’t have symptoms and wear a mask indoors in public for 14 days following exposure or until their test result is negative.
If a player has been in contact with an individual who has COVID-19, we ask that they not attend CVU activities for 10 days. If after 5 days they remain symptom free, players may return with proof of a negative test, shown to CVU office staff.
Any players who have tested positive with COVID-19 may return after 10 days if they no longer have any symptoms. We simply ask that you communicate all COVID related issues to the CVU office. All health-related information will be handled with complete discretion and we will not keep health related information on record. We will ALWAYS do our best to ensure the safe return to play for our players.
We simply ask that you always err on the side of caution at this time of increasing infections within our community. Be safe, be well and help protect our club!
GAME DAY PROTOCOLS
As all CVU related activities will be outside this fall, masks are not required. We do promote the wearing of masks for the protection of our spectators. This is indeed a personal choice and not something the club will enforce unless it becomes mandated.
Social distancing between spectators is still greatly encouraged also. Again, we will not enforce it, but recommend it to protect all those in attendance.
What we ask is that you wait until the parents from the game prior have fully left the vicinity until you place yourselves at the side of the field. You will notice that our teams are not permitted to approach the benches until all prior game players have left the sideline.
