CVU RECREATION                      

The Recreation program run by CVU in partnership with Lynchburg City Parks and Rec is for beginner soccer players. Our Recreation program provides active, developmental play and is run by volunteer coaches. The focus is on teaching players the fundamental skills of the game and having a fun experience.

Recreation is available in both the Fall and Spring seasons. Sessions are currently offered for U5 (2021) to U10 (2016) players.

The Fall season begins after Labor Day and the Spring season typically starts in March. Registration opens about two months prior to the start of the season. Spots are reserved on a first come, first served basis.

 ► REGISTRATION COSTS 

For U5 to U8 players the cost is $75 per season and practices/games. Note that there is a no refunds policy in effect upon the close of registration and start of the season.

 ► TEAMS 

Recreation teams are co-ed. Age groups are combined to form U5/U6, U7/U8, and U9/U10 groups. Players are placed in an age group corresponding to their birth year. 

 ► PRACTICES & GAMES 

U5 to U10 Players: Practice/play on Wednesdays from 6 to 7:15 p.m. Games will take place on the same nights as training. The model will see players train for 45 minutes and play for 30 minutes. The program will start on March 12 and finishes on April 23. The location for practices and games will be at the CVU Complex (5635 Campbell Hwy).
